November 28, 2018
St. Louis at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings were extremely generous in their last outings as the former allowed eight goals in its fourth setback in five games while the latter was gouged for seven en route to losing its third straight contest. The Blues look to tighten up defensively Wednesday when they open a three-game road trip against the Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena.
Anaheim at Florida 7:00 PM ET
With the exception of a five-game winning streak earlier this month, victories have been few and far between for the Florida Panthers, who have a chance to build some momentum as they continue an eight-game homestand against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Florida ended a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 overtime win over New Jersey on Monday.
San Jose at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been battling for the best record in the Eastern Conference and could be getting a major boost with the imminent return of their most explosive scorer. After participating in his first full-contact practice in a month, Auston Matthews pronounced himself ready to play against the visiting San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night.
Dallas at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
The Calgary Flames hope to ride their red-hot offense to a fifth victory in six games when they host the road-weary Dallas Stars on Wednesday night. The Flames have scored 23 times in their last four wins, sandwiching a shutout loss at Vegas, after recording three short-handed tallies and getting the first two goals of the season from defenseman Noah Hanifin en route to a 6-1 victory at Arizona on Sunday.
Pittsburgh at Colorado 9:30 PM ET
Two offensive-minded teams looking to extend point streaks meet on the second night of a back-to-back when the Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. The Penguins boast points in five straight (3-0-2) after prevailing 4-3 at Winnipeg on Tuesday while the Avalanche have won five in a row and gained a point for the eighth consecutive contest (7-0-1) after a 3-2 triumph at Nashville on Tuesday.
