Florida at Winnipeg 2:00 PM ET
Patrik Laine could not have scripted a better return to his native Finland, and the Winnipeg Jets hope his hat trick Thursday marks a turnaround for their young star forward entering Friday’s finale of the NHL Global Series against the Florida Panthers in Helsinki. Laine, who came into the series pointless in his past five games and had scored just three goals on the season, snapped out of his slump with two power-play goals and an empty-net tally as the Jets won 4-2.
Colorado at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks hope to conclude their four-game homestand with a third straight victory when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. Vancouver, which will embark on a six-game road trip following the contest, were blanked by Pittsburgh in the opener of its string at Rogers Arena before defeating Minnesota and Chicago.
Carolina at Arizona 10:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes rebounded from a rough start to post their best October record in five seasons and look to earn a fifth straight victory when the Carolina Hurricanes pay a visit Friday night. The Coyotes managed three goals total while limping to a 1-4-0 start, but have scored 27 times to win five of the last six contests and surrendered one goal in each game during their winning streak.
