Preview Roundups
February 15, 2017
Arkansas at South Carolina 6:30 PM ET

No. 19 South Carolina hopes to rejoin the logjam atop the SEC standings Wednesday with a victory over visiting Arkansas. The Gamecocks need a win to keep pace with Kentucky and Florida, who pulled one-half game ahead with triumphs on Tuesday.

Xavier at Providence 6:30 PM ET
After seeing its four-game win streak come to an end, Xavier may be dealing with a loss of a different kind when it heads to Providence on Wednesday for a Big East game. Trevon Bluiett, the league's No. 3 scorer, was forced to leave the Musketeer's loss to No. 2 Villanova on Saturday after re-injuring his right ankle and his status is uncertain.
Maryland at Northwestern 7:00 PM ET
Northwestern is coming off one of its biggest victories in program history and the Wildcats can break the school record for wins in a season when they host No. 24 Maryland in a Big Ten game Wednesday night. Northwestern upset then-No. 5 Wisconsin on Sunday, getting a season-high 25 points from Bryant McIntosh in the 66-59 victory that pulled the Wildcats within two games of Maryland with six conference games remaining.
Iowa St. at Kansas St. 7:00 PM ET
Kansas State hopes to have leading rebounder D.J. Johnson back in the lineup Tuesday as the Wildcats face visiting Iowa State, which sits in fourth place in the Big 12 standings with six games to go. Johnson missed last Saturday’s matchup at West Virginia with an injured ankle and the Mountaineers capitalized by scoring 50 points in the paint while cruising to an 85-66 victory.
Temple at East Carolina 7:00 PM ET
Temple is beginning to come to life in the American Athletic Conference, although a loss to host East Carolina on Wednesday would kill its momentum. The Owls have won four of six, including two victories against Memphis, while the Pirates will be aiming to win for just the third time in 12 games.
Cincinnati at South Florida 7:00 PM ET
No. 17 Cincinnati looks to rebound after seeing a 15-game winning streak come to an end last time out when it pays a visit to last-place South Florida for an American Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday night. The Bearcats shot 34.7 percent from the field en route to a 60-51 loss to SMU on Sunday in a battle for first place - their first setback since Dec. 10 against rival Butler.
Georgia Tech at Miami-Florida 8:00 PM ET
In a conference that likely will receive at least eight bids to the NCAA Tournament, games like Wednesday's ACC meeting between host Miami (Fla.) and Georgia Tech can have major consequences on Selection Sunday. While the Yellow Jackets overcame a poor start Saturday to defeat Boston College 65-54 and end a two-game losing streak, the Hurricanes saw a 14-point, first-half lead against Louisville disappear to turn what would have been a resume-building victory into a frustrating 71-66 defeat.
North Carolina at N.C. State 8:00 PM ET
Ninth-ranked North Carolina looks to recover from a loss to one major rival by putting a second straight beating on another when it visits reeling North Carolina State on Wednesday for an ACC matchup. The Tar Heels are 2-2 in the last four contests after an 86-78 loss at Duke on Thursday, but scored a historic 107-56 rout against N.C. State on Jan. 8 - the largest margin of victory for North Carolina against an ACC foe since the league was formed in 1953.
Creighton at Seton Hall 8:00 PM ET
No. 22 Creighton may be finally finding its footing without dynamic point guard Maurice Watson Jr. Again lighting it up from the arc, the Bluejays seek a second straight win when they visit struggling DePaul on Wednesday night.
Alabama at Missouri 8:30 PM ET
Having earned a dramatic split against a pair of nationally ranked teams, things should get a whole lot easier for Alabama as it visits Missouri on Wednesday night. The Crimson Tide are coming off a hard-fought 67-58 loss to Kentucky, and will look to vent their frustrations against a Tigers team that is mired near the bottom of the SEC standings.
St. John's at Butler 8:30 PM ET
No. 25 Butler is picking a bad time to go into a slump, but Wednesday's home meeting with St. John's offers it a chance to get back on track. The game also presents an opportunity for the Bulldogs to avenge a three-point loss to the Red Storm in late December.
Indiana at Minnesota 9:00 PM ET
Reeling Indiana tries to get back on track in time to get into the postseason when it visits Minnesota for a Big Ten Conference clash on Wednesday. The Hoosiers have lost five of six, with the lone victory being a triple-overtime triumph over Penn State, while the Golden Gophers are on a three-game winning streak that has moved them into the top half of the league standings.
Duke at Virginia 9:00 PM ET

With the ACC race tightening at the top, every game carries added importance, and a big one is on tap Wednesday as No. 15 Virginia hosts No. 14 Duke. The Cavaliers and Blue Devils are tied for fourth in the conference standings – one game behind leader North Carolina and one-half game back of Louisville and Florida State in the crowded title chase.

Oklahoma St. at Texas Christian 9:00 PM ET
Oklahoma State has played well on the road of late while TCU has been outstanding at home this season, so something will give when the two teams meet Wednesday in Fort Worth in a matchup of two teams trying to crack the upper reaches of the Big 12 Conference. The Cowboys have won six of seven overall and three away games in a row, while the Horned Frogs own a 13-3 homecourt record.
Tulane at Southern Methodist 9:00 PM ET
No. 23 SMU looks to stay in first place in the American Athletic Conference when it hosts struggling Tulane on Wednesday. The streaking Mustangs have won eight consecutive games, including a 60-51 win over 17th-ranked Cincinnati on Sunday, to move a half-game ahead of the Bearcats at the top of the conference standings.
