Preview Roundups
March 02, 2018
Detroit at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons are sitting in the No. 9 spot in the Eastern Conference and need to start stringing wins together to get back into the race. The Pistons earned an impressive win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday and will try to make it two in a row when they open a three-game road trip by visiting the Orlando Magic on Friday.
Charlotte at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The rising Philadelphia 76ers suddenly are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, and they also have a signature victory about which to boast. Philadelphia looks to avoid a letdown when it hosts the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, one night after an impressive 108-97 victory at Cleveland that represented its eighth win in 10 games.
Golden State at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors will try to finish off a perfect road trip and extend their winning streak to five games with a visit to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. After dropping four of their final five road games prior to the All-Star break, the Warriors knocked off New York and Washington to begin this trip and they remain a half-game back of first-place Houston in the Western Conference.
Toronto at Washington 8:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are clinging to the top spot in the Eastern Conference and are winners of 11 of their last 13 games. One of the two losses in that span came at the Washington Wizards, who host the Raptors again on Friday.
Dallas at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls have barely been competitive during a five-game losing streak as they improve upon their draft chances this spring. The Dallas Mavericks are in a similar boat, losing five of their last six, and have a chance at a rare victory Friday when they visit the sliding Bulls.
Denver at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are trying to earn a spot in the top eight of the Western Conference and can not afford a three-game losing streak after falling to the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. Lucky for the Nuggets, the Memphis Grizzlies, who host Denver on Friday, have been nothing but accommodating when it comes to helping opponents find wins.
Indiana at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks are in the middle of a crowded Eastern Conference playoff race, but both are trending in the wrong direction. The Pacers will try to snap a two-game slide while the Bucks hope to avoid a fourth consecutive loss when the teams tangle Friday night in Milwaukee.
Oklahoma City at Phoenix 9:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns snapped a 10-game losing streak on Wednesday, but more winning probably isn’t in the long-term interest of the franchise. The Oklahoma City Thunder, who visit the Suns on Friday, are definitely in win-now mode and took four of their last five.
Minnesota at Utah 10:30 PM ET
The Utah Jazz were one of the hottest teams in the NBA prior to their current minor funk and look to regain their stride when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Utah ripped off a season-best 11 straight victories before losing two of its last three games.
New York at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers became the latest in a long line of victims for the Houston Rockets in the opener of a six-game homestand. The Clippers continue the stay in Los Angeles with a significant drop in competition when they host the slumping New York Knicks on Friday.
