Preview Roundups
June 19, 2017
Cleveland at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians didn't have the services of Michael Brantley all weekend, so fellow middle-of-the-order sluggers Jose Ramirez and Edwin Encarnacion picked up the slack and then some. The Indians expect to welcome back their No. 3 hitter from paternity leave as they eye a season-best sixth straight victory Monday when they visit Baltimore for the first of four games against the Orioles.
Cincinnati at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
Following a dreadful run against the National League West, the Cincinnati Reds can only hope a series against an interleague foe shakes them out of the rut they find themselves in at the moment. The Reds seek an end to a nine-game slide overall and hope to avoid their first 10-game road losing streak since 1998 on Monday when they play the first of three against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Washington at Miami 7:10 PM ET
The Washington Nationals' lineup will try to rebound from a rare low-scoring effort when the club continues its seven-game road trip with the first of three games at the Miami Marlins on Monday. The Nationals averaged 7.3 runs during a three-game winning streak and over a six-game stretch before running into Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets on Sunday.
San Francisco at Atlanta 7:35 PM ET
Brandon Phillips is enjoying his first season playing in his hometown, and the Atlanta Braves second baseman comes into Monday’s opener of a four-game home series with the San Francisco Giants after a great weekend. Phillips recorded walk-off game-winning hits on Saturday and Sunday, as Atlanta won a three-game series with Miami and begins the week leading the majors with 11 victories in its final at-bat.
Pittsburgh at Milwaukee 7:40 PM ET
It's past the middle of June and the Milwaukee Brewers still are in first place in the National League Central, thanks to a powerful offense and a surprising pitching staff. The Brewers will try to break out the power bats against another division rival when they host the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday for the opener of their four-game series.
Toronto at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Texas Rangers worked their way back over .500 during the weekend before a disappointing loss brought them back to the even mark. The Rangers will try to get back over the hump at the expense of another team attempting to work its way up the standings when they host the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday for the opener of their four-game series.
San Diego at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET

With a grueling road trip looming, the Chicago Cubs hope to take advantage of a three-game home series against the San Diego Padres starting Monday. The Padres have lost seven of their last nine road games and are 11-24 away from home.

Boston at Kansas City 8:15 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals steadily are climbing back into the race in the American League Central and look to continue their surge when they open a six-game homestand Monday against the Boston Red Sox. The Royals have won seven of their last eight contests, closing within 3 ½ games of first-place Cleveland, and belted 18 homers on their 7-2 road trip that ended with Sunday's 7-3 win at the Los Angeles Angels.
Houston at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
With one four-game sweep of a home series under their belts, the Oakland Athletics look to get started on another when they host the Houston Astros for the opener on Monday. Oakland rebounded from a 1-6 slide in a big way, kicking off an eight-game homestand with four straight wins against the New York Yankees - including three one-run decisions.
Detroit at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
After ending a road trip during which they were quite generous to the opposition's offense, the Seattle Mariners kick off a nine-game homestand Monday with the opener of a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers. Seattle halted a three-game slide Sunday to finish with a 3-4 record on a trek on which it surrendered a total of 46 runs in its losses.
NY Mets at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers need every win they can get to keep pace in the National League West, and they've been winning plenty of late. The Dodgers go for their fourth straight victory and 10th in 11 contests when they begin a nine-game homestand  with the opener of a four-game series against the New York Mets on Monday.
