Jordan Kyrou earned three assists and scored the only goal in the shootout as the visiting St. Louis Blues edged the Anaheim Ducks 6-5 on Sunday.

Robert Thomas had a goal and three assists for the Blues (41-32-5, 87 points), who have earned at least one point in seven of their past nine games.

Zack Bolduc, Matthew Kessel, Pavel Buchnevich and Brayden Schenn also scored for St. Louis. Jordan Binnington made 33 saves, then blanked the Ducks in the shootout.

Frank Vatrano and Leo Carlsson each scored twice for the Ducks (25-48-5, 55 points), who have won just two of their past 16 games.

Nikita Nesterenko also scored for Anaheim. Trevor Zegras, Isac Lundestrom and Alex Killorn had two assists apiece, and Lukas Dostal made 26 saves.

The Blues moved ahead 1-0 when Bolduc scored off the rush 11 seconds into the game. Colton Parayko's outlet pass triggered the play, and Thomas found Bolduc streaking up the left wing.

Nesterenko tied the game at 1-1 by outmuscling Parayko atop the crease and banging in a rebound 2:37 into the first period.

Kessel put the Blues up 2-1 with 7:24 left in the period with his first NHL goal. He jumped up into the play and converted a cross-ice pass from Thomas.

Anaheim tied the game at 2-2 during a goalmouth scramble 3:41 into the second period. Killorn shoveled a shot on goal, then Vatrano poked in the rebound.

Thomas restored the Blues' lead with a power-play goal with 6:24 left in the period. He sliced through the right circle to bank a shot in off the left post.

The Blues made it 4-2 when Kyrou rushed the puck down the middle of the ice and set up Buchnevich's shot from the right faceoff dot.

Carlsson cut the Blues' lead to 4-3 with a redirection at the right post 1:02 into the third period as an Anaheim power play expired. Schenn responded by jamming in a power-play goal at the right post just 1:38 later as St. Louis boosted its lead to 5-3.

Vatrano's second goal of the night trimmed the Blues' advantage to 5-4. Then Carlsson jumped into the slot to tie the game at 5-all with 3:51 left.
