Zach Hyman scored his 200th career goal 1:22 into overtime on Tuesday night, giving the Edmonton Oilers a 4-3 victory over the host Winnipeg Jets.

After recording his 50th goal of the season during Sunday's loss at Ottawa, Hyman hopped onto the ice, took a drop pass from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, then circled into the offensive zone. He backhanded a shot stopped by the Jets' Connor Hellebuyck (38 saves), then put home the rebound for Edmonton (43-23-4, 90 points) to avoid a third straight loss.

Nugent-Hopkins also scored, and Connor McDavid recorded two assists to reach 93 on the season as the Oilers regrouped after blowing a two-goal, third-period lead.

Winnipeg trailed 3-1 with less than 14 minutes left in regulation before rallying.

Brenden Dillon sent a knuckleball shot past Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner (22 saves) with 10:21 to go, pulling the Jets (44-22-6, 94 points) within one. Winnipeg tied it one minute later when a well-positioned Sean Monahan deflected in Nikolaj Ehlers' attempt.

However, Winnipeg couldn't push ahead and fell to 0-3-1 since winning three straight.

Following a scoreless first period, Winnipeg's Mason Appleton put home the rebound of Kyle Connor's shot to open the scoring 4:43 into the second.

Hellebuyck shined early in the game, and with just over 10 minutes remaining in the second, he stopped Evander Kane twice on a breakaway -- first with his glove, then with his pad on the rebound.

However, Edmonton got on the board with 8:14 left in the second when McDavid delivered a pass into the slot for Warren Foegele to send to Leon Draisaitl, who knotted things at 1. Less than two minutes later, the Oilers went ahead, as Connor Brown came off the bench to rip the puck past Hellebuyck.

The Oilers added some insurance 6:10 into the third when McDavid rode the boards before putting the puck in front of the net for Nugent-Hopkins to push in on the power play.

Winnipeg coach Rick Bowness was back behind the bench on Tuesday after missing four games for what the team called a "minor medical procedure."
