Lightning 4, Blackhawks 0: Captain Steven Stamkos scored twice and Ben Bishop made 28 saves to secure his 10th career shutout as host Tampa Bay continued its dominance of Chicago.

Ryan Callahan netted a power-play goal for the Lightning, who avenged a 3-2 shootout loss to the Blackhawks on Nov. 11 and improved to 6-0-1 in their last seven meetings. Brian Boyle also tallied and defenseman Jason Garrison notched two assists as Tampa Bay moved within three points of first-place Montreal in the Atlantic Division.

Scott Darling turned aside 25 shots for Chicago, which acquired veteran defenseman Kimmo Timonen from Philadelphia for a second-round pick in the 2015 draft and a conditional selection next year. Captain Jonathan Toews saw his three-game goal-scoring streak come to a halt in the lopsided loss.

Rookie Jonathan Drouin's nifty no-look pass from behind the net sailed between the legs of Chicago's Teuvo Teravainen and found Boyle, who one-timed a shot past Darling 8:27 into the second period to open the scoring. The Lightning doubled the advantage 9 1/2 minutes later, as Garrison's blast from the point was tipped home by Stamkos.

Callahan capped a pretty tic-tac-toe passing sequence at 7:37 into the third to give Tampa Bay a 3-0 lead before Stamkos added his team-leading 34th goal during a man advantage with 2:45 left. The offense was more than enough for Bishop, who preserved his fourth straight win and second shutout of the season by stopping seven shots in the third.
