Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 23 shots as the Penguins sent the Devils to their second loss in as many nights.

Staal's second goal, the 100th of his career, came 70 seconds after Chris Kunitz scored on the power play early in the third period for Pittsburgh, which has beaten the Devils four straight times at home.

Red-hot James Neal potted his eighth goal of the season and seventh in seven games to give the Penguins a 4-1 cushion midway through the final period.

Johan Hedberg made 25 saves in his fifth consecutive start for New Jersey, which scored only three goals in losing all three games at Pittsburgh last season.

Patrik Elias scored a shorthanded goal at 1:47 of the third period to draw New Jersey even at 1-1, but Kunitz and Staal extended the lead to 3-1 within the next 2 1/2 minutes.

Penguins left wing Steve Sullivan, who started his career with the Devils, appeared in his 900th game Saturday. He played 49 games with New Jersey.
