Prentiss Hubb scored 22 points to help Notre Dame break a four-game losing streak with a wire-to-wire 83-73 upset of No. 11 Florida State in Atlantic Coast Conference play on Saturday at South Bend, Ind.

Dane Goodwin added 15 points and nine rebounds as the Fighting Irish (10-14, 7-11 ACC) snapped a 28-game losing streak against ranked teams dating back to a win over Wichita State early in the 2017-18 season. Nikola Djogo, Nate Laszewski and Cormac Ryan had 11 points apiece for Notre Dame.

Scottie Barnes matched his season best of 17 points and collected a season-high nine rebounds for Florida State (15-5, 11-4), which lost for just the third time in the past 13 games. RaiQuan Gray added 15 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out, while M.J. Walker and Sardaar Calhoun tallied 12 points apiece.

The loss prevented the Seminoles from clinching their second straight regular-season title. It also makes them the No. 2 seed in next week's ACC tournament after Virginia defeated Louisville to win the crown and claim the top seed.

The Seminoles shot 40.6 percent from the field and were just 6 of 24 from 3-point range.

Notre Dame shot 42.6 percent from the field, including 9 of 27 from behind the arc.

Hubb also became the 64th player in Notre Dame history to reach 1,000 career points. He finished the game with 1,007.

Florida State trailed by as many as 20 points in the first half but was within 74-70 after Anthony Polite knocked down a 3-pointer with 2:34 remaining.

Hubb drove for a layup to make it a six-point margin with 1:08 left.

Walker later connected on a 3-pointer to pull the Seminoles within 79-73 before Laszewski made four straight free throws to seal the upset.

Florida State played lethargic and committed nine turnovers in the first half before making a charge in the second.

The Seminoles scored the first seven points of the half to move within single digits at 47-38 with 17:15 left. Hubb responded with a layup 42 seconds later to reach the 1,000-career point mark.

Florida State moved within 70-64 with 5:13 remaining on a 3-pointer by Walker and a basket by Barnes. But Ryan and Hubb answered with baskets to elevate the Notre Dame lead to 10.

Hubb scored 13 first-half points as Notre Dame led 47-31 at the break.

The Irish came out hot at the outset and Ryan drained back-to-back 3-pointers to give Notre Dame a 19-5 advantage less than six minutes into the contest.

The Irish lead topped out at 20 when Juwan Durham split two free throws with 2:29 remaining.
