St. Bonaventure 73, No. 18 VCU 71: Marcus Posley scored 15 points, including his second buzzer-beating game-winning basket in four days on a driving layup, to give the host Bonnies the upset win in Atlantic 10 play.

Dion Wright scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Youssou Ndoye had 13 points and eight rebounds and Denzel Gregg added 10 points for St. Bonaventure (13-8, 6-4). The Bonnies turned the ball over just nine times against the Rams, who came in forcing an average of 17.3 turnovers per game.

Terry Larrier scored 15 points, JeQuan Lewis finished with 14 points and four steals and Melvin Johnson added 11 points for VCU (18-5, 8-2). The Rams, who lost star point guard Briante Weber to a season-ending knee injury in a Jan. 31 loss at Richmond, also were without leading scorer and rebounder Treveon Graham (16.2 points, 6.5 rebounds), who was sidelined with a high left ankle sprain.

VCU, which never led in the contest and trailed by as many as 13 points at 58-45 in the second half, tied the game at 71-71 on a drive by Jordan Burgess with 18 seconds to go. St. Bonaventure shunned calling a timeout and Posley, whose floater at the buzzer gave the Bonnies a 62-61 win at Davidson on Wednesday night, drove down the right side of the key and scooped up the game-winner barely beating the horn.

St. Bonaventure bolted to an early 9-1 lead with Andell Cumberbatch and Posley both connecting on 3-pointers. VCU cut the Bonnies' lead to one point on four different occasions, the final time on a layup by Brooks as St. Bonaventure went into halftime with a 32-31 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The loss was just the second in 15 games for the Rams. ... St. Bonaventure finished 11-of-13 at the free-throw line and sank all nine attempts in the second half. ... Wright finished 8-of-12 from the floor and is 22-of-33 over the last three games.
