Clemson 69, Texas-El Paso 48: Milton Jennings recorded a game-high 18 points and the Tigers used red-hot 3-point shooting to roll past the Miners in the consolation round of the Old Spice Classic at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Clemson made 10 of its 12 attempts from 3-point range in the first half and finished 12-of-16 overall. K.J. McDaniels, who added 17 points, and Jennings each had four from beyond the arc as the Tigers (3-1) led by double digits for more than 36 minutes.

Adonis Filer had 10 points and Devin Booker added six points and 10 rebounds for Clemson, which will play Marist for fifth place on Sunday. Jennings grabbed seven rebounds and McDaniels had six. The pair missed only one of their nine 3-point shots.

The Tigers jumped on the Miners (1-3) early, draining their first six attempts from 3-point range to take a 20-4 lead. Clemson led by as much as 20 in the first half before UTEP scored the final eight points to close within 38-26 at the break.

John Bohannon scored 15 points and Julian Washburn 11 to lead the Miners, who have dropped three straight. UTEP never got closer than 12 points in the second half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clemson tied the tournament record with its 12 from 3-point range. … Texas-El Paso fell behind 15-0 in the first round against Oklahoma and 15-3 against Clemson. … The Miners will play Vanderbilt on the seventh-place game on Sunday.
