Maryland 86, Wake Forest 60: Sophomore center Alex Len recorded 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks as the hot-shooting Terrapins rolled over the visiting Demon Deacons.

Logan Aronhalt finished with 13 points off the bench while Jake Layman, Seth Allen and James Padgett tallied 12 each for Maryland (16-6, 4-5 ACC), which shot 73.9 percent from the field in the first half and a season-high 67.3 overall. Dez Wells chipped in with 11 points as the Terrapins drained 11 of their 16 attempts from 3-point range.

Travis McKie registered 15 points and Codi Miller-McIntyre had 14 points for Wake Forest (10-11, 3-6), which has lost five of its last six games. Devin Thomas added 12 points as the Demon Deacons dropped to 0-5 in ACC road games.

Maryland went on a 12-0 run midway through the first half, capped by two straight Layman 3-pointers, to take control. The Terrapins dominated on the boards (20-9) and were 4-of-5 from behind the 3-point arc in the opening 20 minutes for a 42-25 lead at intermission.

The Terrapins, who have won four of five ACC home contests, started the second half with a 7-0 run and they were on their way. The Demon Deacons shot 34.4 percent from the field - 25.8 percent in the first half - and had seven shots blocked.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Point guard Pe’Shon Howard, who missed the last game against Florida State with the flu, returned to the lineup for Maryland and had three assists. … Wake Forest’s reserves were 3-of-19 from the field and did not produce a point until 9:01 remained in the game. … Maryland has won the last five games in the series and leads 67-56 overall.
