Oklahoma State 78, Iowa State 76: Freshman guard Marcus Smart led four of five Cowboys starters in double figures with a game-high 21, including the game-winning layup, as Oklahoma State snuck by the visiting Cyclones.

The Cowboys (14-5, 4-3 Big 12) also received 18 from sophomore forward Le'Bryan Nash, 17 from Phil Forte and 12 from junior guard Markel Brown. Redshirt sophomore Michael Cobbins chipped in 10.

Senior guard Chris Babb knocked down 5 of 6 3-pointers to score a season-high 19 for Iowa State (14-6, 4-3). Freshman forward Georges Niang connected on 6 of 7 shots for 16 points to go along with eight boards, and senior guard Will Clyburn scored 14.

The Cowboys trailed 76-72 with 2:12 to play, but three trips to the line allowed them to tie the game on Cobbins' free throw with 47 seconds to play. After a Clyburn missed jumper, Oklahoma State called a timeout with 25 seconds left and Smart made a layup to give his team the two-point lead with two seconds left.

Tyrus McGee missed a potential game-winning triple at the buzzer after Oklahoma State was whistled for a player control foul with 1.7 seconds left. Iowa State shot 54.2 percent from 3-point range, compared to 37.5 percent for Oklahoma State from deep.
