No. 10 Gonzaga 83, Brigham Young 63: Kelly Olynyk didn’t miss a single shot while scoring 26 points and grabbing nine rebounds, and the host Bulldogs never trailed while defeating the Cougars in West Coast Conference play.

Elias Harris had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Kevin Pangos tallied 12 points on four 3-pointers as Gonzaga (18-2, 5-0 WCC) bounced back from a last-second loss to Butler.

Olynyk was 9-of-9 from the field and hit all eight free throws. Brigham Young standout Tyler Haws had the opposite type of night, missing all nine of his field-goal attempts and scoring a season-low one point. Brandon Davies and Josh Sharp each scored 14 points to pace the Cougars (15-6, 5-2).

The Zags had a double-digit lead 12-plus minutes into the contest as BYU started the game by missing 15 of its first 19 shots. A 12-0 surge late in the half pushed the lead to 22 and Gonzaga held a 40-21 advantage at the break.

The closest the Cougars came in the second half was 12 points as the Bulldogs improved to 9-1 at home.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harris made 8 of 11 shots as Gonzaga connected on 56.9 percent of its field-goal attempts. … Haws’ only point came on a free throw with 7:52 remaining. … The Bulldogs had a 33-23 rebounding edge.
