Freshman guard Adonis Filer came off the bench to score 21 points, making all seven of his shots, as the host Tigers beat the Bulldogs for the 15th straight time.

Clemson (8-4) shot 63.3 percent from the field in racing to a 47-27 halftime lead. The Tigers shot 61.4 percent for the game, dominated the glass 26-18 and finished with 16 steals.

Filer nailed all four of his 3-point tries, went 3-of-4 at the foul line and made three steals. His previous high was 14 points. Jordan Roper added 13 points and Damarcus Harrison 10 for the Tigers, who improved to 4-2 at home.

The Citadel (3-8) lost its seventh straight despite 13 points from center Mike Groselle and 11 from swingman Dylen Setzekorn. The Bulldogs committed a whopping 25 turnovers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clemson improved to 5-1 against in-state foes this season, the loss coming to Coastal Carolina. … The Tigers open ACC play Saturday against Florida State. … Filer, who had totaled 10 points in the previous two games, scored in double digits for the sixth time this season.
