C.J. Leslie scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures and Richard Howell posted his fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Wolfpack pulled away at home.

T.J. Warren added 16 points off the bench for N.C. State (6-2) while fellow freshman Rodney Purvis scored 11 and Lorenzo Brown chipped in 10 points and six assists.

Charlie Lee scored 15 points to lead Cleveland State (6-3) but also committed eight turnovers with only three assists. Devon Long added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Vikings, who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

N.C. State used a 16-4 run midway the first half to pull away and held the Vikings at a safe distance the rest of the way.

Cleveland State coach Gary Waters was denied in his first bid for his 300th career win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: N.C. State remained undefeated in 14 games at Reynolds Coliseum since moving into PNC Arena for the 1999-2000 season. … Cleveland State dropped to 6-37 all-time against ranked teams, including a 3-25 mark on the road. … The Wolfpack improved to 7-2 against Horizon League opponents.
