MISSOURI 78, IOWA STATE 72: Michael Dixon came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points as the host Tigers clinched the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 tournament.

Missouri (26-4, 13-4 Big 12) used runs of 8-0, 9-0 and 7-0 in the second half to overcome Iowa State (21-9, 11-6 Big 12), which can earn the No. 3 seed with a victory over Baylor at home Saturday.

Dixon scored 15 of his points in the second half to lead the Tigers as Missouri shot 54.7 percent from the field en route to its ninth straight victory over the Cyclones, and second this season.

Ricardo Ratliffe scored 16 for the Tigers, while Marcus Denmon had 14, Kim English 13 and Phil Pressey 11 as Missouri snapped a two-game losing streak.

Iowa State, which led by seven in each half, was paced by another standout all-around game from forward Royce White, who had 20 points, nine assists and six rebounds.

Scott Christopherson added 15 points, including 12 in the second half for the Cyclones, while Melvin Ejim had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Pressey broke the Missouri single season assist record. He has 184, surpassing the previous mark of 179 set by Anthony Peeler in 1989-90. ... White posted his fourth 20-point game of the season. ... Christopherson tallied three 3-pointers and has 190 in his career, tying him with Dedric Willoughby for second in school history.
