TEXAS A&M 47, TEXAS TECH 38: Elston Turner scored 16 points, and Texas A&M held Texas Tech to 12 second-half points to snap a four-game losing skid.

The Aggies (13-12, 4-9 Big 12) trailed for much of the night, including by 15 in the first half, before seizing control.

Khris Middleton added 11 points off the bench for Texas A&M, which held Texas Tech (8-17, 1-12 Big 12) to only 14 points over the final 26 1/2 minutes.

Jaye Crockett had 12 points for the Red Raiders, who were coming off their first conference win Saturday against Oklahoma.

Texas Tech stormed out to a 24-9 lead, but Texas A&M battled back with an 8-2 spurt to close the half down 26-17. The Aggies then opened the second half on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 26 on Turner’s jumper at the 17:25 mark.

Texas A&M took its first lead when David Loubeau followed a Middleton miss with a powerful jam that made it 38-36 with 6:40 left. Loubeau’s three-point play with 1:48 remaining extended the margin to 45-38.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Only three players scored in the first half for the Aggies … Texas Tech missed 20 of its last 26 field goal attempts … This was the Red Raiders’ lowest point total of the season.
