Elston Turner scored seven of his career-high 23 points in overtime Saturday as Texas A&M rallied to edge visiting Oklahoma 81-75.

David Loubeau added 16 points for the shorthanded Aggies (11-7, 2-4 Big 12), who avoided their worst conference start since going 0-16 during the 2003-04 season but travel to No. 7 Kansas on Monday.

Khris Middleton, the Aggies’ leading scorer, was lost for the game at the 4:55 mark of the first half when he bumped knees with teammate Ray Turner on a rebound. The injury is of particular concern since it was to his right knee, the same one that cost him seven games earlier this season after he tore his meniscus in the season opener.

Oklahoma (12-6, 2-4) led for the majority of the game and looked in control after Andrew Fitzgerald converted a three-point play with a minute remaining in regulation to put the Sooners up 65-62.

But Turner drilled a 3-ponter on the next possession to force the game into overtime.

Texas A&M, which did not miss a shot in overtime, scored on all eight of its possessions of the extra period to lead by as many as nine points. Turner made all four of his free-throw attempts and hit a 3-pointer to put the game away.

Romero Osby matched his career high with 18 points for Oklahoma, which fell to 1-19 over its last 20 conference road games.
