The Badgers (13-5, 2-3 Big Ten) ended the Boilermakers’ 26-game home winning streak in West Lafayette, Ind., the sixth longest such streak in the nation. The Wisconsin win marked just the third victory in 40 games for the Badgers at Mackey Arena.

The Badgers had five players in double figures as Ben Brust came off the bench to score a team-high 13 and Mike Bruesewitz scored his dozen on four 3-pointers, including a pair of key treys after Purdue (13-5, 3-2 Big Ten) had cut Wisconsin's lead to 45-43 with a 13-0 run.

Jordan Taylor tallied all 12 of his points in the second half and also dished out five assists as the Badgers made 9 of their last 10 free throws in the final minute to hold off the Boilermakers.

For the game, Wisconsin was 20 of 24 from the charity stripe while Purdue, the Big Ten's worst free throw shooting team at 61 percent, made only 54.5 going 12 of 22. Terone Johnson scored a career-high 16 points to lead Purdue, while Robbie Hummel added 13, but from the field shot only 5 of 18.
