A possible tying 3-pointer in overtime by Wisconsin’s Ryan Evans was waved off by the officiating crew, giving No. 11 Michigan State its 14th straight victory with a 63-60 win over No. 19 Wisconsin in a Big Ten Conference tussle in Madison, Wis.

Evans rebounded a late miss by Jordan Taylor, dribbled back to the 3-point line and banked in the shot as time expired. The officials reviewed the monitor and decided Evans didn’t get the shot off in time.

Draymond Green had 18 points and 14 rebounds and Keith Appling scored 16 for the Spartans (14-2, 3-0), who ended an eight-game losing streak on Wisconsin’s home court.

Jordan Taylor scored a season-best 28 points for the Badgers (12-4, 1-2), who have lost back-to-back Big Ten home games after going 78-6 in conference home tilts over the previous 10 seasons. Wisconsin was upset by Iowa on Saturday.

Michigan State appeared to have the victory sewn up when it led by seven with 31.1 seconds left in overtime. But Taylor hit two 3-pointers to get the Badgers within 63-60 with 10.8 seconds left, and Green missed two free throws prior to the game-ending sequence.

Taylor scored 12 consecutive Wisconsin points to help the Badgers get within 50-47 with 2:28 left in regulation. Jared Berggren hit a layup with 1:25 left and Taylor hit one of two free throws with 35.9 seconds remaining to force the extra session.

Wisconsin led 22-21 at halftime despite shooting just 27.3 percent from the field. The Badgers shot 33.3 percent overall.
