Dorenzo Hudson scored 16 points as Virginia Tech extended its winning streak to four games with an 84-55 victory over visiting North Florida on Monday.

Freshman Dorian Finney-Smith added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Hokies (9-3), who improved to 7-1 at home. Freshman Robert Brown pitched in 14 points and sophomore Cadarian Raines notched 11 rebounds.

Travis Wallace (13 points) and Matt Sauey (11) led the way offensively for the Ospreys (5-7), who trailed by only nine at halftime.

North Florida is 0-6 all-time against ACC opponents and remains winless on the road (0-7) this season.

Virginia Tech had 24 points off 16 North Florida turnovers and was credited with 11 steals.

The 29-point margin of victory was also the game’s largest lead for the Hokies, who are building decent momentum as conference play approaches.

Virginia Tech will host Eastern Michigan and travel to Oklahoma State to close out 2011 before it begins ACC play at Wake Forest on Jan. 7.
