Jeremiah Kelly added 15 points, Cleveland Melvin had 13, and Jamee Crockett scored 10 for the Blue Demons (8-3), who are 6-0 this season when four or more players score in double figures.

After starting slow and letting Arkansas-Pine Bluff hang around for much of the first half, the Blue Demons asserted their defense and depth and went on a 21-4 run to cap the final four minutes of the first half.

Krys Faber started the run with a dunk at 3:59 that put the Blue Demons up 29-24.

DePaul’s turned defensive pressure into opportunity with a 33-11 edge in points off of turnovers. The Blue Demons depth also wore down the Golden Lions with a 22-3 advantage in points off the bench.

Savalace Townsend scored 23 points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-8).

The combined record of DePaul’s last three opponents is 1-29. Two games ago, the Blue Demons let winless Chicago State hang around nearly the entire game before winning 102-95.

Last time out, DePaul led winless Northern Illinois by only three at the half before pulling away for a 75-52 victory.
