Kris Joseph and Dion Waiters each scored 21 points, Scoop Jardine added 16 and Syracuse stayed unbeaten with an 88-72 win over N.C. State at the RBC Center. It was the first game for the Orange (11-0) since being named the new No. 1 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

N.C. State (6-4) got things tied up at 54-54 on a follow dunk by C.J. Williams, who scored a career high 25 points, but C.J. Fair followed with two quick baskets to give Syracuse the lead for good.

N.C. State led by as many as eight points in the first half and held a 29-23 advantage at the eight-minute mark after a bucket by Scott Wood, but Syracuse took command from there. Over a stretch of seven-plus minutes, the Orange went on a 23-0 spurt to build a 46-29 cushion.

The Wolfpack started the second half strong as well, scoring 21 of the first 28 points and tying the game on three occasions.

Syracuse got 45 points and 19-of-33 shooting, led by Waiters, Fair and James Southerland (11 points each) from its bench.
