Mike Scott scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Virginia past Oklahoma 74-56, Tuesday in a consolation bracket game at the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

The Cavaliers (3-2) bounced back from Monday's 43-point loss to Washington and advanced to the consolation bracket final against Wichita State by beating the Sooners in almost every facet of the game.

Virginia's patient offense produced wide-open looks and easy opportunities. Scott did the majority of his damage in the first half, helping Virginia take a 15-point lead into halftime. The Cavs slowed things down in the second half and fended off only one small Sooner run.

klahoma got within eight with 16 minutes to play, but Scott hit four consecutive free throws to push the Cavs' lead back to double-digits. They maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.

Freshman Tyler Neal came off the bench to lead the Sooners with 16 points, and Cade Davis added 15.

Oklahoma (3-2), which lost to Kentucky Monday, will try to salvage one win from its trip to Hawai'i against host Chaminade Wednesday.
