Corey Raji led a balanced effort with 21 points and Boston College boosted its NCAA at-large hopes with an 84-68 rout of Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The Eagles (19-11, 9-7 ACC) used an 18-2 run midway through the first half to build a 33-23 lead with 7:10 left before intermission. After Joe Trapani and Raji closed the half with back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 44-30, Wake Forest never got the margin back within single digits.
Biko Paris finished with 19 points and Trapani added 17 for Boston College, which hit 7 of 12 shots from beyond the arc in the first half and 12 of 22 overall. The Eagles hit 58.2 percent of their field-goal attempts on the day.
Travis McKie scored 21 points while Gary Clark added 14 points to lead Wake Forest (8-23, 1-15).
