Kenny Boynton led five players in double figures with 17 points and No. 14 Florida claimed the SEC regular-season title with an 86-76 road victory over No. 21 Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Erving Walker added 16 points and six assists for the Gators (24-6, 13-3 SEC East), who won their third regular-season title and first since 2007, when they claimed their second straight national championship.

Florida, which has won eight of nine and 16 of 19, has a first-round bye in the SEC tournament, which begins Thursday.

John Jenkins scored 22 points, Festus Ezeli added 16 and Jeffery Taylor had 15 for Vanderbilt (21-9, 9-7), which has lost three of its last four games and fell to 14-3 at home.

Florida never trailed after a 26-5 run that bridged the first and second halves. The Commodores cut a 14-point lead to five at 77-72 with 2:36 left, but the Gators answered with an 8-0 spurt to seal it.
