Brad Reese led four players in double figures with 17 points as visiting Texas Tech ended a four-game losing streak with a 78-69 victory over struggling Baylor on Saturday.

John Roberson had 16 points, and Robert Lewandowski and David Tairu added 12 apiece for Texas Tech (12-15, 4-8 Big 12), which was without second-leading scorer Mike Singletary (calf).

The Red Raiders picked up their first win since Jan. 29 and dealt the Bears (17-9, 6-6) a potentially crushing loss.

LaceDarius Dunn had 21 points for Baylor, which is on the NCAA Tournament bubble one season after reaching the Elite Eight. Losing to a team with an RPI of 152 won’t help.

Texas Tech led by five at halftime and never trailed in the second half.

The Bears trailed by single digits for most of the second half, but couldn’t get over the hump. They cut the lead to 64-62 with 4:24 left, but turned the ball over on three straight possessions.

Lewandowski and Reese each hit jumpers, which extended the lead to six points with under two minutes left, and Baylor never recovered.
