Jack Cooley came off the bench to score a season-high 18 points and grab seven rebounds, leading No. 7 Notre Dame to its seventh consecutive win, a 78-55 blowout at South Florida on Saturday.

Notre Dame (21-4, 10-3 Big East) trailed 3-2 in the early going but reeled off a 22-0 run, holding the Bulls scoreless for a span of 7:31. The Irish shot 66.7 percent (18 for 27) in the first half and 51.5 percent (34 for 66) for the game.

Cooley was nearly perfect at the offensive end, going 9 for 10 from the field to lead six Irish players in double figures. Carleton Scott scored 13 points for the Irish, and Ben Hansbrough and Tim Abromaitis added 12 apiece. Hansbrough added eight assists.

South Florida (8-18, 2-10 Big East) shot just 28.8 percent (21 for 73) en route to its fourth consecutive loss. Shaun Noriega scored 23 points to lead the Bulls.

The Irish remain in second place in the Big East, behind league leader Pittsburgh.
