The Tigers shot 43.6 percent from the field, and their trademark pressure defense did its job as the Cyclones shot 27.1 percent from the field and had 19 turnovers. Missouri also held a 55-35 edge on the boards.

Iowa State (14-6, 1-4 Big 12), which has lost four of its last five games, made the game's first basket, but never led again.

Jake Anderson scored 20 points for the Cyclones, whose leading scorer Diante Garrett was limited to six points on 3-of-16 shooting.

Missouri, which improved to 13-0 at home, have a week off before a key conference game at No. 11 Texas on Jan. 29.
