Steven Pledger added 14 and Carl Blair hit eight free throws in the final 2:12 for the Sooners (9-9, 1-3 Big 12), who went 29 of 34 from the line in earning their first conference win.

Fitzgerald had 12 points in the first half as Oklahoma took a 31-24 lead into the locker room. The Red Raiders went without a field goal during a stretch of six minutes in the first half - turning a six-point edge into a one-point deficit - and committed 15 turnovers before the break.

Texas Tech (8-11, 0-4) cleaned up the mistakes in the second half but still could not close the gap, falling behind by as much as 14 points after Cameron Clark’s jumper with 9:09 remaining. The Red Raiders tried to make one last push at the end, but the Sooners went 12 of 12 from the free-throw line in the final 1:24 to seal it.

John Roberson scored 21 points for Texas Tech, which fell into sole possession of last place in the Big 12.
