Kris Joseph scored 18 points and keyed an early burst as No. 4 Syracuse rolled to a 76-59 victory over St. John's on Wednesday night in New York City.

The Orange (17-0, 4-0 Big East) trailed early before Joseph scored seven points during an 18-3 run that put the visitors in front for good, 25-18, with 3:59 left in the first half. Another 19-6 spurt midway through the second half stretched the lead to 59-38 with 9:26 remaining.

Brandon Triche finished with 15 points for Syracuse, which shot 56.4 percent (31 of 55) from the field and hit 9-of-19 shots from 3-point range. Scoop Jardine added 14 points, while Rick Jackson posted 12 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Brownlee paced the Red Storm (10-5, 3-2) with 13 points.

Syracuse hosts Cincinnati on Saturday before traveling to face No. 5 Pitt on Monday night.
