Coach Steve Donahue and Boston College got another dose of payback from an Ivy League team.

Laurent Rivard scored 23 points to lead five Harvard players in double figures in a 78-69 victory over Boston College on Wednesday.

Donahue left the Ivy League after dominating it at Cornell. He guided the Big Red to the Sweet 16, and left to take over the Eagles of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Donahue has Boston College off to a pretty good start, but the season has not been without its hiccups. Yale knocked off the Eagles early in the season, and the Crimson took their turn Wednesday.

Rivard hit three 3-pointers and made all six of his free throws for Harvard (10-3), which led 33-29 at the half.

Keith Wright scored 15 points, Christian Webster added 13, Oliver McNally had 12 and Brandyn Curry 10 for the Crimson, who have won three straight and open Ivy League play at Dartmouth on Saturday.

Boston College (11-4, 1-0 ACC) has lost two of its last three, and gets back into ACC play Saturday at home against Georgia Tech.

Joe Trapani scored 21 points and Reggie Jackson added 18 for the Eagles, who shot 51 percent from the field, but were outscored 23-4 at the free throw line.
