William Buford scored 24 points, leading a torrid shooting display as second-ranked Ohio State cruised to an 85-67 victory at Indiana on Friday evening.

The Buckeyes (14-0, 1-0 Big Ten) hit five of its first six 3-point shots, building a quick 22-8 lead. The Hoosiers countered with a quick 9-2 burst to get within seven points, but Ohio State would hold a double-digit lead for most of the night.

Buford hit 5 of 7 shots from beyond the arc while Jon Diebler hit all five of his 3-point attempts for Ohio State. The Buckeyes finished the night shooting better than 60 percent overall and 13 of 19 (68.4 percent) from long range.

Jared Sullinger added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Buckeyes, who also enjoyed a 30-20 advantage on the boards. Christian Watford paced the Hoosiers (9-6, 0-2) with 17 points.
