Rihards Kuksiks scored 15 points and hit the tiebreaking 3-point shot late in the second half, leading Arizona State to a 56-50 win over North Carolina A&T on Thursday. The Aggies, who led 50-44 with 7:52 remaining in the game, didn't score again as the Sun Devils (7-4) rallied from a 12-point deficit early in the second half.

Nic Simpson led North Carolina A&T with 17 points while Adrian Powell added 10. Thomas Coleman, the Aggies' leading scorer with a 15.2 average, was held to nine points and had 12 rebounds. Trent Lockett scored 12 points for the Sun Devils.

Arizona State led 20-13 in the first half before the Aggies went on a 16-3 run to take a 29-23 lead into halftime. North Carolina A&T opened the second half with a 9-3 spurt to go ahead 38-26 lead with 16:47 remaining in the game.

Arizona State rallied and tied the game at 50-all on Keala King's drive with 4:09 to play. Kuksiks' 3-pointer gave the Sun Devils a 53-50 lead with 2:51 to play.
