Levi Knutson scored 18 points off the bench and Colorado held Texas-Pan American scoreless for more than 12 minutes in the first half, building an early cushion and coasting to an 83-64 victory on Tuesday night in Boulder.

The Broncs took an early six-point lead, but the Buffaloes (3-3) reeled off 19 unanswered points to grab a 22-9 advantage with 6:43 left in the half. Colorado had a 34-19 cushion at the midway point and never let Texas-Pan American (2-6) get closer than 15 points in the second period.

In addition to forcing 21 turnovers, Colorado hit 54.2 percent of its field-goal attempts, including 9 of 15 three-pointers. The Buffaloes moved the ball well, picking up assists on 24 of their 32 made baskets.

Marcus Relphorde and Cory Higgins added 16 and 15 points, respectively, for Colorado, with Higgins adding seven assists. Perry Petty led the Broncs with 23 points.
