Reggie Johnson recorded his fourth double-double of the season Saturday and visiting Miami (Fla.) won its first road game of the season, 87-75 over Florida Gulf Coast.

Johnson had 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, and junior guard Malcolm Grant had 20 points, including a career-high six 3-pointers, for Miami (4-2).

Guards Durand Scott and Garrius Adams scored 15 points apiece, and Adrian Thomas came off the bench to score 12 for the Hurricanes, who had lost their first two games on the road.

Florida Gulf Coast (2-3) was led by Anthony Banks and Reed Baker, who had 23 and 21 points, respectively. Freshman guard Christophe Varidel scored 10 points, including three 3-pointers.

The Eagles, in their fourth Division I season, trailed by three midway through the first half, but Miami made 10 of 20 on 3-pointers before halftime to lead 50-39.

Miami nearly tied its school record for 3-pointers made (15), but finished 13 for 28 (46.4 percent).

Florida Gulf Coast went on a 13-6 run to come within seven 67-60 with 7:49 to go, but Miami answered with a 9-2 run of its own to expand its lead to 14.
