Oklahoma City outscored Denver 24-16 in the third quarter and cut the deficit to single digits early in the fourth quarter, and to five points with 1:30 to play.

The Nuggets' three consecutive victories have come after a stretch where they lost six of seven games, all by 10 points or fewer. Denver opened the season with a 9-1 record.

Oklahoma City, which was playing its fifth game in eight days, had won 12 of its previous 14 games before falling to the Nuggets.

Mason Plumlee scored 11 points for Denver. Jokic's 16 points came despite shooting 0-for-7 from 3-point range as the Nuggets were playing their 15th game in the past 27 days. Torrey Craig had 10 rebounds for Denver and two baskets in the final 1:06 to help seal the victory.

Steven Adams had 14 rebounds for the Thunder and was one of four Oklahoma City starters and five players overall to play 30 minutes, a night after all five starters played at least 30 minutes against the Hornets.
