Rockets 106, Nets 96: James Harden scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half as visiting Houston held off a late rally to beat Brooklyn for the 13th consecutive time.

Carlos Delfino connected on 6-of-9 3-pointers and matched his season high with 22 points as the Rockets snapped the Nets' four-game winning streak despite playing with a short roster.

Brook Lopez scored 27 points and Deron Williams added 15 points and 13 assists for Brooklyn, which was denied a chance to tie the New York Knicks for first place in the Atlantic Division.

Harden, who poured in 46 points in Wednesday's win over Oklahoma City, helped Houston take control by burying a pair of 3-pointers in a personal 7-0 spurt to extend the lead to 84-75 entering the fourth.

James Anderson and Patrick Beverley knocked down 3-pointers to complete a 13-0 run and push the lead to 15, but reserve Mirza Teletovic sparked a comeback and pulled the Nets within 95-92 with just under four minutes left. Delfino answered with a 3-pointer and a long jumper before Harden supplied the dagger with a 3-pointer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chandler Parsons, Omer Asik and Greg Smith each had 10 points for Houston, which shot 53.2 percent overall and finished 16-of-30 from behind the arc. ... Nets G Joe Johnson, the team's second-leading scorer, sat out the game due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot. ... The Rockets were without new acquisitions Thomas Robinson, Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt, who had not completed their physicals in time following the trade with Sacramento.
