Thunder 120, Rockets 98: Kevin Durant scored 37 points as host Oklahoma City posted its seventh victory in eight games and spoiled reigning Sixth Man of the Year James Harden's homecoming.

Harden finished with 17 points on 3-of-16 shooting in his return to Oklahoma City, which was unable to sign him to a contract extension before the season and traded him to Houston. He came into the night averaging 25.1 points but missed his first eight shots and did not hit his first basket until early in the third quarter with the Rockets already down by double digits.

Serge Ibaka added 23 points on 11-of-13 shooting to go with nine rebounds and six blocks. Kevin Martin, who was the primary piece acquired from Houston, contributed 17 points while Russell Westbrook had 14 and nine assists.

Patrick Patterson led the way with a career-high 27 points for Houston, which had a three-game winning streak snapped. Daequan Cook, who also was acquired in the Harden trade, added a season-high 18 points.

Durant scored 20 points in the second and third quarters as the Thunder took an 86-74 lead entering the fourth quarter. The Rockets cut it to 10 on their first possession of the fourth quarter but missed their next seven shots and the outcome was never in doubt after that point.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Houston F Chandler Parsons sat out with a sore right shoulder and missed a chance to extend his double-figure scoring streak to nine games and Cook made his first start since March 13. ... The Rockets flew to the game from Minneapolis after attending the funeral for coach Kevin McHale's daughter, Sasha, who died at 23 of lupus.
