Frye's 3-pointer with 2:05 left in the extra session gave Phoenix the lead for good, 126-124.

Jared Dudley scored 26 points, Grant Hill added 21 and Steve Nash had 16 assists for the Suns (39-42), who have won nine straight against Minnesota.

Michael Beasley scored 16 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter for the Timberwolves (17-64), who took a one-game lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers for worst record in the NBA.

Luke Ridnour had 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, Anthony Randolph added 24 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, and Anthony Tolliver had 22 points and 10 assists for Minnesota.

Nash's 3-pointer gave Phoenix a 121-119 lead with 27 seconds left in regulation before Beasley's basket and foul tied the game at 121 with eight seconds to go. Beasley could not complete the three-point play, though, and Hill missed a shot at the buzzer.

The game was tied 92-92 after three quarters before Beasley scored 10 of the Timberwolves' first 12 points in the final period to give Minnesota a 104-100 edge. Frye responded with 10 points in a span of 2:35 to put Phoenix ahead 115-112.

Minnesota's Kevin Love, who leads the NBA with an average of 15.2 rebounds, missed his fifth straight game and eighth in the last 10 with a groin injury.
