Samuel Dalembert had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead a powerful inside game as the Sacramento Kings dealt a staggering blow to Houston's playoff hopes with a 104-101 victory over the host Rockets on Tuesday night.

Marcus Thornton also scored 21 points and Tyreke Evans had 18 as Sacramento (23-54) halted Houston's home winning streak at seven games.

kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins added 15 points and 15 boards and Jason Thompson contributed 14 and six while combining with Dalembert to shoot 21 of 30 from the field.

Kevin Martin scored 30 points for the Rockets (41-37), who trail eighth-place Memphis by three games and No. 7 New Orleans by 3 1/2 with only four to play.

The Kings led by 12 points with just under four minutes to play, but the Rockets rallied behind Kyle Lowry and Courtney Lee to pull within three points twice in the final 20 seconds.
