Elton Brand finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds and Louis Williams scored 24 points off the bench as the Philadelphia 76ers took down the Orlando Magic, 97-85, on Saturday.
Andre Iguodala added 21 points and seven assists for the Sixers, who have won four of five and were playing the first of an eight-game road trip.
After totaling 40 points in the first half and taking a one-point lead into the break, Philadelphia opened it up with 31 points in the in the third to stretch the lead to 71-64.
The Magic, shorthanded as they wait for their bold trade reinforcements to arrive, could not keep up in the fourth, allowing the Sixers to steadily pull away.
Dwight Howard finished with 26 points and 20 rebounds for Orlando, which made a pair of blockbuster trades involving eight players on Saturday. The big names going out the door were Vince Carter and Rashard Lewis while coming to Magic will be Gilbert Arenas, Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu.
