All-Star catcher J.T. Realmuto homered and drove in four runs and Starlin Castro added a three-run blast to lead the host Miami Marlins to a 9-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday afternoon.

The teams split the two-game series.

Realmuto hit his 13th homer of the season, a two-run shot, in the first inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the third and an RBI fielder's choice in the fifth.

Marlins rookie Brian Anderson, who leads all National League right fielders in defensive runs saved, went 3-for-3, scored three runs and made a diving catch.

Wei-Yin Chen (3-7), who entered the game ranked third in the league in home-stadium ERA at 1.83, allowed five hits, three walks and three runs in six innings. He threw a season-high 101 pitches and struck out four.

On the road, Chen's ERA is 10.47.

Atlanta's Julio Teheran (7-7) took the loss, allowing seven hits, two walks and nine runs, seven earned. He has allowed 20 homers this season, the sixth straight year he has allowed at least that many. He allowed a career-high 31 homers last year.

Realmuto, who had posted just four hits in 25 at-bats with one RBI in his last seven games, got Miami off to a good start with his homer. It was his first long ball since July 7, and it followed an Anderson single.

Johan Camargo's second-inning homer cut Atlanta's deficit to 2-1.

The teams then traded two-run rallies. After Miami scored a pair in the third, Charlie Culbertson's two-run double in the fifth cut Atlanta's deficit to 4-3.

But Miami broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning that featured Castro's eighth homer of the season. Castro belted a high fastball - perhaps a bit out of the strike zone -- on an 0-2 count to left field.

The Marlins' bullpen handled it from there as Brad Ziegler, Adam Conley and Drew Steckenrider each pitched one scoreless inning to end the game.
