Christian Yelich, in just his second major league game as a visitor at Marlins Park, drove in four runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers past Miami 8-4 on Tuesday night.

Yelich, traded by the Marlins to the Brewers this past offseason, went 3-for-5 and drove in the tying and go-ahead runs in Milwaukee's game-winning, four-run second inning. He added a two-run double in the ninth.

Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw hit his 16th homer of the season, a solo shot in the eighth.

Jhoulys Chacin (8-3) earned the victory, allowing seven hits, three walks and four runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Marlins rookie right-hander Pablo Lopez (1-1) took the loss, allowing six hits, three walks and five runs in six innings. It was just his third major league appearance.

Lopez got in trouble early as Milwaukee put runners on second and third just three pitches into the game. Eric Thames beat the shift with an opposite-field single, and Yelich doubled off the wall in left, also going the other way.

After Jesus Aguilar drew a four-pitch walk to load the bases, Travis Shaw cashed in with a run-scoring groundout. However, Lopez escaped further trouble by striking out Tyler Saladino and Brad Miller swinging.

Miami then took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first. Leadoff batter Derek Dietrich pulled a double down the right-field line, and Starlin Castro drew a one-out walk. Both runners scored on consecutive singles by Garrett Cooper and JT Riddle.

Milwaukee bunched four hits and two walks in the second inning, scoring four runs and taking a 5-2 lead. Thames had the only extra-base hit, a double, and Yelich and Saladino each had two-run singles.

Lopez, though not very effective in this game as a pitcher, produced an opposite-field single in the second and a leadoff walk in the fourth, contributing to runs in each of those innings.

Dietrich got the RBI in the second on a foul ball sacrifice fly. Dietrich's single in the fourth pushed Lopez to third, setting up Brian Anderson's RBI groundout.

Shaw pulled his homer to right in the eighth off reliever Javy Guerra, giving the Brewers a 6-4 cushion. Yelich then iced the game with his two-run double in the ninth.
