Houston right fielder Josh Reddick had three hits, including a two-run homer, and Evan Gattis drove in the winning run with a 10th-inning sacrifice fly to lift the visiting Astros to a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.

Yuli Gurriel had a double and a homer for the Astros, who are a major-league-best 32-14 on the road and have won their past eight at Texas. They overcame a 4-0 deficit Wednesday to increase their lead in the season series to 12-4.

Rangers designated hitter Shin-Soo Choo had two hits, including a homer, to extend his on-base streak to 44 games, the longest in the majors this season and tied for second longest in franchise history. Julio Franco reached base in 48 consecutive games in 1993.

Jurickson Profar had two hits and an RBI, and Elvis Andrus and Ronald Guzman had two hits apiece for the Rangers, who have lost three in a row but have won 11 of 16.

Jose Altuve singled and Gurriel was hit by a pitch by Chris Martin (1-2) with one out in the top of the 10th inning. The runners advanced on Martin's errant pickoff throw to second before Gattis' sacrifice fly.

Collin McHugh (4-0) tossed three shutout innings for the win, and Ken Giles pitched a scoreless 10th inning for his 12th save.

Houston right-hander Gerrit Cole gave up eight hits and four runs in five innings, with seven strikeouts and two walks. He is second in the American League with 158 strikeouts in 18 starts. Mike Scott is the only Houston pitcher to post more strikeouts before the All-Star break, with 167 in 1986 in 22 starts.

Texas left-hander Mike Minor gave up seven hits and four runs (three earned) in six innings, with four strikeouts and three walks. He is 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA in his past five starts.

Profar was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored on Robinson Chirinos' double for a 1-0 lead in the second inning.

The Rangers stretched their lead to 4-0 with a three-run third inning. Choo homered with one out before Andrus singled and took second on a wild pitch. Profar singled to drive in Andrus, and Rougned Odor doubled in Profar for the four-run lead.

Gurriel doubled to open the Astros' fourth inning before Reddick homered with one out. Marwin Gonzalez reached on Profar's throwing error, and Tim Federowicz doubled. George Springer walked with two outs, and Alex Bregman singled home a run to make it 4-3.

Gurriel's homer leading off the fifth inning tied it at 4.

Texas third baseman Adrian Beltre was scratched from the starting lineup about an hour before the game because of an infected tooth.
