Freddy Peralta struck out 13 in his major league debut as the visiting Milwaukee Brewers beat the Colorado Rockies 7-3 on Sunday.

Peralta, whose parents watched him pitch as a professional for the first time, took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing a one-out single to David Dahl. He then struck out Charlie Blackmon and left after throwing 98 pitches.

The 21-year-old, recalled Saturday from Triple-A Colorado Springs, walked two in 5 2/3 innings and set a Milwaukee rookie record for strikeouts.

Travis Shaw and Jesus Aguilar homered and Domingo Santana had three hits for Milwaukee, which took three of the four games in the weekend series.

Dahl and Tony Wolters homered and Jon Gray (4-5) allowed six runs on 10 hits and fanned 10 for the Rockies.

The Brewers grabbed the lead in the second when Santana led off with a single, Manny Pina followed with a one-out single and Tyler Saladino hit a ground-rule double to left-center field to make it 1-0.

Christian Yelich's two-run single gave Milwaukee a 3-0 lead.

Shaw hit his ninth homer, a 452-shot into the second deck in right field, to make it 4-0 with one out in the third.

That gave Peralta (1-0) some breathing room. The rookie retired the first seven he faced before an error by Shaw at third gave Colorado its first baserunner. Peralta walked two around a strikeout to load the bases but got out of the inning when Blackmon grounded out to third.

Peralta struck out the side in order in the second and fourth innings.

Milwaukee broke it open in the sixth inning. Pina and Saladino led off with singles. After Peralta struck out, Harrison Musgrave relieved Gray. He struck out Yelich but then Aguilar homered to left to make it 7-0.

Wolters hit a two-out homer in the seventh and Dahl hit a two-run shot in the eighth.
