ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and C.J. Cron keyed a two-run rally in the first inning, and starter Ricky Nolasco made it stand up, the Los Angeles Angels holding on for a 2-1 win over the Oakland A's on Thursday night at Angel Stadium.

The Angels (12-12) completed a three-game sweep, their second of the season. They took three against the Seattle Mariners from April 7-9.

Nolasco (2-2) gave up one run on three hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings to earn his second win in a row. He got help from the bullpen, including one big out from reliever Blake Parker to finish the sixth.

David Hernandez, Jose Alvarez and Bud Norris (fourth save) combined to pitch the final three innings, allowing only one walk.

Oakland's Kendall Graveman (2-1) made his first start since April 14, having recovered from a strained right shoulder. After a bumpy first inning, Graveman settled in and pitched well, allowing two runs and six hits without walking a batter in six innings.

However, that first inning was enough to beat him. Graveman retired the first two batters before the Angels strung together three consecutive hits.

Trout doubled to left, then scored on a single by Pujols. Cron followed with a double to right field, scoring Pujols for a 2-0 lead.

Yonder Alonso's RBI single in the fourth inning cut the Athletics' deficit to 2-1, but the pivotal inning for Nolasco and the Angels came in the sixth.

Nolasco retired the first two batters of the inning, then walked the next two. Alonso followed with a grounder to second baseman Cliff Pennington, who booted the ball for an error, loading the bases.

That was the end of the night for Nolasco, who was replaced by Parker, who quickly ended the threat when he struck out Ryon Healy on three consecutive fastballs.

The A's (10-12) managed only three hits, including Jed Lowrie's fourth-inning double ahead of Alonso's run-scoring single.
