Blue Jays 3, Rays 0: R.A. Dickey struck out six in a two-hit shutout as visiting Toronto avoided a three-game sweep.

Dickey (7-8) took a perfect game into the fifth before James Loney’s one-out single provided Tampa Bay’s first base runner. The reigning National League Cy Young Award winner walked one and needed only 93 pitches to post his first complete game since joining the Blue Jays in the offseason.

Adam Lind and Edwin Encarnacion each homered while Melky Cabrera added an RBI single for Toronto, which had dropped the first two games of the series after coming in with an 11-game winning streak.

Roberto Hernandez (4-9) allowed three runs on six hits in eight-plus innings for the Rays. Loney and Yunel Escobar each singled while Desmond Jennings got as far as second after drawing a leadoff walk and stealing a base in the seventh.

The Blue Jays got to Hernandez in the second when Jose Bautista led off with a double and scored on Cabrera’s two-out single to right-center. Lind took a 3-2 slider out to center in the sixth and Encarnacion ended Hernandez’s day with a leadoff blast to deep left in the ninth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto SS Jose Reyes (ankle) returned to the lineup for the first time since April 12 and went 0-for-4. … Rays 3B Evan Longoria went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts and is 1-for-11 in the last four games. … Tampa Bay will take Thursday off before hosting the Detroit Tigers while the Blue Jays will head to Boston for a four-game series.
